Benton County Records Overview
Benton County Circuit Clerk Records
The Benton County Circuit Clerk and Recorder maintains court records for civil, criminal, domestic relations, and juvenile cases. The court office is at 102 NE A Street, Bentonville, AR 72712. The Recorder's Office is at 215 East Central, Room 202. Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You can reach the court office at (479) 271-1015, the Recorder's Office at (479) 271-1017, and the Criminal Division at (479) 271-1016.
Court records go back many years. Deeds and mortgages are available from 1990 to present, with partial records from earlier years. Liens run from August 2002 forward. UCC filings are available from August 1994, with images since 2002. The Judgment Docket covers November 2007 to present with both indexes and images, and indexes only from June 1995 to October 2007. The statewide case search portal is available free at caseinfo.arcourts.gov/opad. You do not need to create an account to search public case records. Plat record indexes are available online with images from 1998 forward.
Document copy fees are $0.25 per page for standard copies. Certified copies cost $5.00 for the first page plus $0.50 for each additional page. Full-size plats are $3.00 per page. The online land record system offers a Basic Level with no monthly fee for unlimited index viewing. Downloads without a watermark cost $0.25 per page. The Professional Level subscription runs $80.00 per month for full access. E-recording has been available since 2008. Accepted e-recording vendors include CSC, eRecording Partners Network, and Simplifile. Documents submitted electronically after 4:15 PM CST are processed the next business day. Passport services are also available by appointment at the Recorder's Office.

County Clerk and Vital Records
The Benton County Clerk is at 215 E. Central Avenue, Bentonville, AR 72712. Phone: (479) 271-1013. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Clerk maintains marriage licenses going back to 1861, DBA certificates, ministers' credentials, corporation filings, probate records from 1859, and county court documents.
Marriage licenses cost $60.00 cash or $62.80 with a credit or debit card processing fee. Both parties must be present in person and bring a government-issued photo ID. The minimum age is 18 without parental consent. Applicants age 17 require parental consent. Licenses are issued by appointment only. They are valid for 60 days and can be used anywhere in Arkansas. The license must be returned to the issuing county within 60 days of the ceremony. The Clerk also serves as the official voter registrar and secretariat to the Quorum Court.

Property Records and Assessor Data
The Benton County Assessor maintains real estate and personal property assessment records. The main office is at 2109 W. Walnut Street, Rogers, AR 72756. A secondary office is at 215 E. Central Avenue, Bentonville. Bentonville Office: (479) 271-1037. Personal Property Department: (479) 271-1033.
Free property searches are available online through ARCountyData.com. You can search by last name or business name, first name, address, tax year, or all years. The portal shows ownership information, property characteristics, valuations, and tax history along with parcel maps. Real estate records are considered working papers of the Assessor's Office and are provided as-is.
Personal property must be assessed annually with January 1st as the assessment date. The filing deadline for personal property is May 31st each year. Business personal property with acquisition costs of $2,000,000 and over has specific filing requirements. Benton County assesses vehicles, business equipment, and other personal property through this office.

Arrest Records and Sheriff Public Records
The Benton County Sheriff's Office is at 1300 SW 14th Street, Bentonville, AR 72712. Main Office: (479) 271-1008. Jail: (479) 271-1011. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. The detention center, which opened in April 1999, holds up to 669 inmates in a 100,355 square foot facility funded by a half-cent county jail tax.
The Sheriff's Office provides an online interactive jail dashboard showing the current inmate roster. Inmate records include arrest date, name, sex, race, offense description, bond information, release date, and mugshots. The site also lists most wanted offenders, a sex offender registry with a GIS map, and a warrant search tool. Arrest records are available on request through the Records Division. Reports cost $10.00 per copy for accident reports and can be requested in person, by mail, or online. Fingerprinting services are available for employment checks, concealed carry permits, adoption, and background checks.

State Tools for Benton County Records
