Washington County Circuit Clerk Court Records

The circuit clerk maintains court records for civil, criminal, domestic relations, and juvenile cases in Washington County. Washington County Clerk Vital Records

The county clerk holds marriage licenses, voter registration, DBA certificates, professional licenses, and historical records. Historical county records through 1941 are available online through the county's website. Newer records require an in-person visit. Marriage licenses require both parties to appear in person. There is no waiting period, and licenses are valid for 60 days from the date issued. Marriage license fees are $60.00 in Washington County. Certified copies are $5.00 each.

Probate records for decedent estates, guardianships, and adoptions are also maintained by the county clerk. Adoption records are sealed under Arkansas law. County court orders, quorum court minutes, DBA filings, and voter registration data are open to the public during normal office hours. Copy costs run approximately $1.00 per page with a $5.00 certification fee per document. Mail requests should include payment by money order and a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Washington County Property Records

The assessor values all real and personal property in Washington County. Real property is assessed from January 1 through July 1. Personal property must be assessed January 1 through May 31. Springdale is the other major city in Washington County. The Washington County Assessor maintains an assessment office in Springdale for personal property assessment convenience. Springdale city records, ordinances, and municipal documents are held by Springdale City Hall.
