Poinsett County Clerk office public records and services

The Poinsett County Clerk handles marriage licenses, probate court records, voter registration, county court records, and DBA filings from the Harrisburg courthouse.

Marriage licenses cost $60.00. Both parties must appear with valid photo ID. No waiting period for adults 18 and older. Licenses are valid for 60 days. DBA filings are also handled here. Probate records cover decedent estates, guardianships, and adoptions (adoptions are sealed). Probate case filing fees are approximately $165.00. Copy fees are $1.00 per page plus a $5.00 certification fee for certified copies. Mail requests should include a self-addressed stamped envelope and a money order.

The Poinsett County Circuit Clerk handles court case filings, land record recording, and eRecording for the county. Poinsett County accepts electronic documents through eRecording partners, which allows remote submission of land records without a trip to Harrisburg.
