Marriage licenses cost approximately $60.00 and must be obtained in person by both applicants with valid government-issued photo ID. There is no waiting period and no blood test required. Licenses are valid for 60 days from the date issued. Copies of marriage records are available for $5.00 each. Mail requests must include the names of both parties, the approximate marriage date, a current phone number, a $5.00 money order, and a self-addressed stamped envelope.

The Assessor is responsible for appraising and assessing all real and personal property in Boone County, which includes approximately 19,000 parcels assessed annually.
